Addendum: I don't know how many of you will actually see this message, but I have to delete the oldest podcast each week to make room for new ones due to storage limitations. Today I am removing the Sonic Youth podcast, but it will be available to download from Eclectic Grooves soon. I plan to archive these older episodes on Eclectic Grooves through a file hosting service like Sharebee. Please check out my blog for further information about this. P.S. Please download the podcast from this site if you want to guarantee that you have a copy of it. http://eclectic-grooves.blogspot.com This episode focuses on bands from the Portland area who didn't play Musicfest this year and who didn't work at Music Millennium. It features a wide variety of styles including klezmer, free jazz, noise, psychedelic rock, folk and electronic. Also, make sure to check Eclectic Grooves for the entire playlist to the shows. I hope you enjoy listening to this episode. Please feel free to send me a message or leave a comment if you have any requests or suggestions. |
Podcast SummaryI'm interested to hear what you guys think of the podcast. Please send me a comment and I will be happy to get back to you. About KevinI am a music fanatic who worked at Music Millennium for 4 years. During the time I worked there, I absorbed all of the different sounds around me like a sponge. I became more interested in esoteric styles of music including krautrock, afro-beat, post-rock and free jazz. This ultimately led to my interest in creating and writing posts on my own music blog Eclectic Grooves. While working on Eclectic Grooves for a couple months, I noticed that Ear Fuzz, one of my favorite blogs, was looking for new writers. I sent a sample review to the blog admin on Ear Fuzz and the rest as they say is history. I love many other things in life, but my passion has always been music. So, my hope is that some of you will get turned on to some new flavors of music by listening to my podcast. Fans of this ShowKevin's Friends
